I can't kill it. It has to kill me.

This is a poster I found for Lark Watts CD Pawnshop Guitars . I really love this poster because one it has a guitar and I love to play and two I really like the style of like cut out letters and hand written type. I can really relate to the story. Its a little hard to read so here's what it says.
"I almost stopped. It was a bad night. Every time I went to sing the microphone shocked me. I told the soundman. He said 'just shake your ass. Thats what they came to see.' So I Quit. I wasn't enjoying it anymore. I quit right there. I apologized to the guys in the band and walked right out the door. Two nights later I wrote 16th avenue. The song is about giving upon the only thing that you have ever loved. It took as long to write as it did to play. The words just came. The first thing I thought was I cant wait to play this live. That is when I realized I cant kill it. It has to kill me."

I got tired of playing small shows for awhile. It just wasn't that fun for me, but after awhile I realized that I still really like to play. I even listened to the song he talks about and I actually liked it. You can listen to it here if you want.
